God chagrined by revelation He has fewer friends than Tom on MySpace

MySpace founder Tom

The Lord has been quite ever since He was put on the spot during a live web interview on AOL. During the live chat, one inquisitive information seeker asked the question that has been burning at theologians for centuries-how many friends does God have on MySpace? After some uncomfortable silence, God finally admitted that while He was unsure of the latest count, it was indeed less than Tom.

The Tom in question is MySpace founder Tom Anderson, who conveniently gets added as everyone’s friend when they join. Members must purposefully remove him or else he would be on everyone’s list. That’s a fair hurdle for the Creator to leap, as He noted, “It’s really hard to counter that kind of inside track. I mean, it isn’t like everyone on there is a believer.”

God’s statements appear to back up factually, as many atheists were easily identifiable on the social networking site. Still, God has yet to reveal his actual numbers when it comes to friends and MySpace management declined the chance to comment.
